The Ineos Grenadier Trialmaster was built with one single obsession: to be the off-roader the original Defender never stopped being. Ladder-frame chassis, solid axles, construction built to last decades. Not to impress.

The engine is a BMW 3.0L Twin-Turbo diesel producing 249 hp and 550 Nm — not a block engineered specifically for the Grenadier, but the same unit BMW fits to its 5 Series and X5. Proven reliability, a wide service network across Europe, and an 8-speed automatic that makes easy work of what others won't attempt.

Trialmaster is the highest specification in the range. Triple locking differentials — front, centre and rear — operable from inside the cab. An integrated 5.5-tonne winch: not a bolt-on accessory, but part of the front bodywork design. A raised air intake as standard for wading up to 800 mm deep. BFGoodrich All-Terrain KO2 tyres on CHAN Design 9"×20 wheels, an upgrade applied at Sauri over the factory steel wheels.
